Public Comment Sought on Regional Long Range Transportation Plan

The development of a Long Range Transportation Plan for the region of Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek, and Tama Counties in Iowa is nearly complete. Residents and stakeholders are invited to give their feedback on a draft update of the plan.

The Long Range Transportation Plan is updated every five years by Region 6 Resource Partners, the area’s Regional Planning Affiliate (RPA). The Long Range Transportation Plan is used to outline the existing status and future needs of the regional transportation system. It helps set the direction of planning efforts and programming investments for the region by outlining transportation projects for the next 20 years. This plan is used as a tool for planning, implementing and maintaining the region’s transportation system.

A key part of the plan update is collecting public input. Stakeholder and public feedback have been considered throughout the planning process and is being sought once more to help refine the final draft of the Region 6 Long Range Transportation Plan.
