Region 6 Resource Partners is inviting residents, commuters, business owners, and stakeholders across Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek, and Tama Counties to participate in a brief but impactful Transportation Needs & Priorities Survey. The survey is a key step in shaping the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), which is being updated this year. The LRTP guides transportation investments and improvements for the next 20 years. The Long Range Transportation Plan is updated every five years by Region 6 Resource Partners, the area’s Regional Planning Affiliate (RPA).
The LRTP is more than a planning document—it’s part of a broader effort to ensure that local voices shape future transportation offerings in our communities. By completing the survey, participants will help to identify: travel behaviors in the region; transportation challenges and gaps; interest in alternative transportation options like walking, biking, carpooling, and trail use, and; preferences on how to prioritize transportation needs and new program offerings in the region.
Sharing your experience helps Region 6 understand what’s working and what needs improvement. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and is anonymous. Responses will directly inform how Region 6 allocates resources and develops programs to improve mobility, safety and access throughout the region. The survey link can be found at: https://forms.gle/gzz1cniEn1Ruq3QR6. The survey is open until October 1, 2025.
