Long Range Transportation Plan Update

Your voice matters! Share your input about regional transportation priorities. Region 6 Resource Partners is conducting a comprehensive Transportation Needs and Priorities survey in partnership with the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) now through Friday, February 28 2020. Results of the survey will help guide how the DOT and other local decision makers allocate federal and state funds in the region over the next 20 years.

The survey is open to all who live, work, or travel in Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama Counties. Decision makers, stakeholders, and members of the general public are encouraged to respond. Your voice matters! Respondents will have the opportunity to voice their opinions on transportation issues, initiatives and policy priorities. Topics include the condition of roads and bridges, traffic safety issues, commuting alternatives, bicycle lanes, recreation trails, sidewalks, and safe routes to school.

Take the survey below! Download a PDF version of the survey here. Paper copies of the survey are available by contacting our office at 641-752-0717 or jwinter@region6resources.org.

The survey is part of the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan update, which proposes regional transportation policy and future project development. The plan is updated every five years and considers transportation issues on a 20 year horizon. Results of the survey will help inform the plan update and will be available for public comment during the draft plan public comment period later in 2020.
